This is because, when you’re sitting, the blood that is supposed to pump through the body and into the heart just stays in the legs. Because you’re not moving, your muscles aren’t contracting, and the veins can start to take shape.
A Lack Of Exercise
Yes, spending all day sitting on your couch and skipping your spin class might cause these types of veins to develop.
While of course, exercise is an important part of your overall health, not getting enough of it causes the number of muscles in your legs to decrease.
When your muscles are weakened, they’re more likely to form gaps. This means that varicose veins can start to form. This is especially common if an injury or another major life change has caused you to suddenly stop working out.
To stop the formation of these veins, try to work out at least four times each week.
Standing For Too Long

If at all possible, try to take a seat for at least five to ten minutes every hour. If you must stand, invest in some comfortable shoes or gel inserts to help to take the pressure off of your back.

Because, when you’re pregnant, more blood flows into your body. However, just because you have more blood, doesn’t mean that it’s circulating properly throughout your body.
Usually, in fact, blood flow will decrease, especially within the lower half of your body. This is supposed to ensure that your baby is developing healthily, but it could cause issues and painful veins to form in your legs.
Usually, however, the veins that have formed during your pregnancy will disappear or at least become less obvious a few months after you give birth.
