Welcome to Rejuveination. We are the vein restoration group opening a comprehensive vein center in the Kenwood area.
We are a locally owned and locally operated entity committed to offering the latest technology in the treatment of chronic venous insufficiency, varicose or “ropy” veins and spider veins.
Chronic venous insufficiency is a serious condition that often manifests as varicose and spider veins. This condition affects 190 million people globally with more than 30 million in the U.S.A., including more than 200,000 individuals in the Greater Cincinnati area. Despite its prevalence, only about 10% of men and women affected seek treatment.
Many people with varicose veins believe their condition to be a cosmetic issue. However, if left untreated, varicose veins can progress to chronic venous insufficiency that can cause leg pain, swelling, restlessness, skin discoloration, and ulcers. This is why it is important to treat varicose veins before symptoms or diseases progress.
Veins are blood vessels that carry blood towards the heart. Chronic insufficiency is a progressive medical condition in which the valves that allow blood to be carried from the legs to the heart no longer function, causing the blood to pool in the legs and veins to swell. This impaired blood flow (or reflux) causes veins to expand, lose form, and become either varicose veins and/or spiders under the skin.
Rejuveination is a Cincinnati vein center that offers minimally invasive procedures for vein treatment including endovenous laser ablation, radiofrequency ablation, sclerotherapy, VenaSeal, and more.
To identify whether reflux is occurring, we perform a diagnostic ultrasound in our leg and vein clinic.
Once there is a diagnosis of reflux, the involved veins are treated with ablation. We use a local anesthetic to numb the area. Then we proceed to insert a catheter into the vein in order to close the vein. This prevents blood from pooling and improves symptoms significantly. Once the source of the problem is eliminated, the varicose veins and spiders are treated with secondary procedures to improve the appearance of the legs. Compression stockings are often recommended for treated veins as well as untreated veins in order to prevent varicose veins.
Radiofrequency ablation is a vascular treatment that uses radiofrequency energy to heat and damage the interior walls of the targeted veins. This causes the veins to close and turn into scar tissue. Sclerotherapy is a vein treatment where a medical solution is injected directly into the targeted veins, which causes the veins to swell and eventually collapse. The collapsed vein will gradually be reabsorbed by the body and fade from view.
Some temporary side effects from vein treatment include bruising, discomfort, tenderness, stinging, or swelling immediately after the vein treatment session. Side effects are usually mild and typically resolve within a few weeks of a treatment session.
Taking the 3-minute vein screening survey could be your first step to eliminating pain associated with vein disease and treating any abnormal veins. We will review your submitted information and follow up with a brief consultation call.
We look forward to the privilege of taking care of your needs with expertise and professionalism, and we look forward to seeing you soon at our vein center!
Our goal is to make sure people who are suffering from venous disorders are educated and to provide comprehensive vein care with exceptional service.
